About this position We are looking for an insightful, strategic, detail-oriented Social Listening & Media Monitoring Analyst. As Social Listening & Media Monitoring Analyst, you will support our organization in analyzing digital conversations, tracking media coverage, and generating actionable insights. You will work in the Communications Division (DCC) part of the External Affairs and Communications (EXC) department. This team is responsible for positioning the IDB as the preferred partner for development in the region. DCC works with press, web, email, social media, and paid media channels to help give visibility to stories of impact in the region. What you’ll do • Monitor social media and digital channels through a variety of platforms (such as Brandwatch, reputed company, Global News, and the reputed company suite) to inform on public perception, relevant trends and brand positioning. • reputed company qualitative and quantitative analyses to identify patterns, trends, and issues relevant to IDB brands, projects, topics of interest and staff. • Use web-based and traditional media data collection tools to gather and analyze information from public data sources on an ongoing and systematic basis, including ongoing maintenance, audit, and governance of the digital intelligence data collection on IDB brands and sectors. • Conduct and support research projects that reputed company public opinion data (traditional and online news and social media among others) to understand a given topic, sector, or country to inform strategies and provide inputs for business performance analyses. • Write reports and analysis highlighting key insights, providing supportive data, and communicating findings in a clear and executive manner. Proficiency in data analysis techniques including data mining, data cleaning, statistical analysis, and data visualization. • Languages: Proficiency in Spanish and English, spoken and written, is required. Additional knowledge of French and Portuguese is preferable.
