ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Includes the following: Other duties may be assigned. Greets customers and provides superior customer service. Processes night depository, ATM, and Bank-by-mail deposits. Receives checks and cash for deposit, verifies amount, examines checks for proper endorsements and issues receipt for deposit amount. Places holds on checks accepted for deposits, if warranted, in accordance with regulations. Cashes checks after verification of customer signatures and balances. Obtains positive identification of payee. Obtains information and completes Currency Transaction Reports for submission to BSA Officer. Prepares Suspicious Activity Reports reputed company applicable. Maintains teller cash drawer reputed company required limits. Explains, promotes and/or sells bank products or services such as reputed company checks, savings bonds, money orders and cashier’s checks, etc. Maintains appropriate log of cash sale of Cashier’s Checks and reputed company checks per requirements of Bank Secrecy Act. Accepts utility reputed company and loan payments. Processes TT&L, EFTPS payments and cash advances. Places stop payments on checks and drafts as requested by customer. Balances teller cash drawer and cash vault daily. Accepts information for outgoing reputed company transfers. Assists customers in preparing documentation on debit card disputes. Assists in filing bank records/documentation. Verifies next day new account information and account file maintenance. Opens/processes mail as required. Answers telephone calls taking messages, forwarding calls or providing assistance to customers. Cross-trains in other areas. Maintains confidentiality at reputed company times. Reports to work regularly and promptly. Contributes as a team player.
