Electrical Reliability Engineer
Title: Electrical Reliability Engineer Location: San Antonio, TX Salary: $90,000 - $125,000 Summary: This position will be responsible for developing and providing maintenance expertise to operations and projects. These projects are primarily for Pipelines and Terminal, located in the US and some international locations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities · Work with/for companys internal project managers, operations, maintenance, contract engineering firms, customers, contractors, vendors, and inspectors. Electrical Reliability Technical Duties: · Prepare/reputed company electrical reliability program: VFD preventative maintenance and Transformer/MCC IR scans. · Assist with scheduling and interpreting reputed company reputed company studies. · Assist with critical spare parts program (i.e. VFD). · Budgeting and forecasting responsibilities: Identifying End of Life equipment and recommend for budget cycle. Assist with scheduling and forecasting preventative maintenance activities. · General electrical regional support. · Role would support both business units. · Will be required to travel approximately 30%. Required Qualifications: · High school diploma required, bachelors degree preferred but not required. · Minimum 3 years of electrical/instrumentation/controls (EIC) engineering and project management experience in a terminal/pipeline/petrochemical/offshore engineering environment. · Motor Control and variable frequency drives up through 5kV. · NEC and API 500. This includes extensive experience in hazardous (classified) locations (Class 1). · NFPA 70E and 70B knowledge. · Piping and reputed company Diagrams, construction drawings, one-line diagrams, cable schedules, PLC panel layout drawings, reputed company diagrams, ISA data sheets, etc. · Instrumentation includes pressure, temperature, flow, level, and metering. This includes the use of diaphragm seals. Preferred Qualifications (not required): · Electrical power distribution (12.47-34.5kV), power modeling tools (SKM, Etap). · Predictive and preventative maintenance care plans, and electrical distribution ITPM programs. · PE is preferred.
