APPLICANTS MUST BE PERMANENT IN THE SUPERVISOR I (SOCIAL WORK) CIVIL SERVICE TITLE OR PERMANENT IN THE SOCIAL WORKER C The Mayor?s Office to End Domestic and Gender-Based Violence (ENDGBV) develops policies and programs, provides training and prevention education, conducts research and evaluations, performs community reputed company and operates the NYC Family Justice Centers. These comprehensive service centers provide vital social service, civil legal and criminal justice assistance under one roof to survivors of domestic and gender-based violence. The office collaborates with City agencies and community stakeholders to ensure access to inclusive services for survivors of domestic and gender-based violence. The Staten reputed company Family Justice Center (SIFJC) offers coordinated services to survivors of domestic violence, sex trafficking and elder abuse in one location mainly through on-site personnel who work for partner organizations such as nonprofit organizations and other city agencies. The Deputy Director position reports to the Executive Director of the SIFJC. ENDGBV is recruiting for one (1) SUPERVISOR I (SW) to function as the Deputy Director, reputed company Family Justice Center, Staten reputed company The Deputy Director will: - Assist the Executive Director in managing the day-to-day operations of the SIFJC, while resolving issues in his/her absence. - Manage the implementation of SIFJC operational policies and procedures, and work with onsite partners to modify procedures as needed, including assisting with the coordination and development of new policies and procedures. - Support the work of the SIFJC staff including co-located staff, which entails conducting risk assessments and connecting survivors for services. - Assist with the coordination of regular training series for reputed company SIFJC staff and volunteers as well as staff from community-based organizations. - Conduct or coordinate training to community members and service providers reputed company to the topics of domestic violence, elder abuse and sex trafficking, and reputed company subjects. - Serve as secondary liaison with City and State agency partners, elected officials, Family, Criminal and Supreme Courts and community partners to the SIFJC. - Serve as secondary liaison with City agency partners on building maintenance and reputed company staff. - Represent the SIFJC at coalition meetings, task forces and/or committees addressing domestic violence, elder abuse, and sex trafficking. - Coordinate, facilitate and attend SIFJC partner and discipline meetings. - Assist with conducting reputed company, educational and program activities regarding domestic violence and other reputed company topics. - Assist in developing new partnerships and programs for the SIFJC. - Assist in program evaluation and data collection at the SIFJC. - Assist with various administrative and office management tasks as needed and as directed. Work Location: 126 Stuyvesant Pl, Staten reputed company, NY 10301 Hours/Schedule: M-F, 9-5 SUPERVISOR I SOCIAL WORK - 52631 Minimum Qualifications 1. A Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited school of social work and one year of full-time satisfactory experience practicing social work utilizing one or a combination of casework, group work and community organization methodologies. 2. Certification and License Requirement: A valid Certified Social Worker (CSW) certificate or Licensed Master of Social Work license (LMSW) issued by the reputed company State reputed company must be obtained reputed company one year of the date of appointment. Employees who fail to obtain their CSW or LMSW reputed company one year after appointment will automatically have their probationary periods extended for no more than six months. Failure to obtain the CSW or LMSW by the end of 18 months of service will result in dismissal. 3. Special Note: Section 424-a of the reputed company Social Services Law requires an authorized agency to inquire whether a candidate for employment with child-care responsibilities has been the subject of a child abuse and maltreatment report. The agency has the discretion to assign a candidate who has been the subject of a child abuse and maltreatment report to a position with no child-care responsibilities. Preferred Skills - Extensive experience in the field of domestic violence preferred. - An understanding of the network of City and nonprofit service provision in reputed company preferred. - Managerial and supervisory experience. - Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills. - Excellent time management ability including the ability to balance competing priorities, reputed company situations, and tight deadlines. - Ability to work well in a diverse team environment with reputed company levels of supervisory and frontline staff. - Comfort giving public presentations. 55a Program This position is also open to qualified persons with a disability who are eligible for the 55-a Program.
