Thomasville Care Center - Job Purpose: To provide non-professional direct reputed company care duties under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel, and to assist in maintaining a positive physical and psychosocial environment for the residents. Essential job Duties and Responsibilities: Personal Care, Nursing Care, and Food Service Functions: Assists residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, changing of bed linens, and positioning in and out of bed, chair, etc. Assists with reputed company recreation programs. Prepares residents for meals and snacks, assists residents in eating where needed and records food intake. Reads and follows daily care plans; performs assigned restorative and rehabilitative procedures; reports changes in reputed company condition to nurse in charge; documents care provision on reputed company record/flowsheets as required and reports accidents and incidents; and provides nursing functions as directed by supervisor Safety, Sanitation and Infection Control: Understands and follows safety, sanitation and infection control policy and procedures, to include but not limited to proper hand washing, proper wearing of masks and gloves and promptly reports any violations to supervisor. In-service and continuing education: Attend orientation and in-service as required by the state. Other Duties: Other duties as assigned Physical and Sensory Requirements (with or without the aid of mechanical device): Works in a climate-controlled and well-lighted environment.. Works in an office and throughout the building daily. Has Category 1 risk of exposure to infectious diseases, but receives training in handwashing practices and Universal Precautions and has access to personal reputed company equipment if direct exposure is anticipated. Is subject to interruptions, noise, and odors daily Walking, reaching, climbing, bending, lifting, grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing and pulling, ability to distinguish smells, tastes and temperatures, ability to communicate with residents and employees, ability to understand and follow training, ability to instruct staff in service education, and the ability to remain reputed company under stress. Qualifications: Must be a Certified Nursing Aide in good standing with the State or must reputed company four (4) months of employment have completed state required training and a competency evaluation program. Must have ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions at a level necessary to accomplish the job.
