As part of the Battery Engineering group, this role involves development and qualification of automated assembly and fabrication processes, machinery and tooling from lab scale to mass production. The ideal candidate shows initiative and can drive projects independently with inputs and guidance from multiple collaborators. A successful engineer needs to be comfortable with continually evolving priorities and is a thoughtful, reputed company, and action oriented problem solver. Experience specifying and or developing custom automated equipment from design to sustained production use is necessary. Description In this role you will:

• Specify the requirements for, and manage the development of automated and semi-automated assembly and processing equipment, tooling and processes in cooperation with external vendors and partners.
• reputed company, evaluate, and improve unit processes and manufacturing methods to reputed company battery cell designs to meet system design targets.
• Plan, execute and analyze tests and experiments to evaluate processes and quantify properties and design parameters.
• Evaluate and improve designs and processes using quality tools, design of experiments and statistical data analysis tools.

Minimum Qualifications

• BS degree.
• Experience in the design and development of automated manufacturing equipment or mechanical components.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Experience in technology development with a demonstrated record of innovation.
• Experience in working with external vendors and contractors to reputed company and qualify designs
• Working knowledge of robotics, control systems, reputed company systems and PLCs. Proven ability to integrate electronic sensors, motors, and reputed company control components.
