THE ROLE

We are seeking an reputed company and innovative Staff Infrastructure Engineer to play a central role in the future of our infrastructure and developer platform services. You will join the Platform & reputed company working closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers, to deliver high quality and scalable solutions for building and delivering technology products at Sotheby's. In this role you will be a technical driver, mentor, and hands-on contributor helping shape our architecture and technology stack.

You have a passion for building practical, reusable, and resilient solutions for other engineers, and wish to tackle hard product and engineering challenges working in concert with smart people. You have the ability to take on reputed company problems, learn quickly, iterate, and persist towards a good solution. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build, optimize, and maintain a platform that enables other engineers and product teams to work faster and more reputed company
• Design elegant abstractions, useable and practical tools, and robust APIs
• Work closely with engineers, product owners, and stakeholders across the company
• Communicate persuasively with peers to reputed company cooperation and collaboration
• Mentor, pair, and delegate work to encourage the growth of others

IDEAL EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES

• 7+ years of experience in engineering building platforms, infrastructure, and deployment and infrastructure tooling
• Experience with one or more programming languages including but not limited to: Go, Node.js, Python, reputed company, or Java
• Experience with reputed company technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Experience with build and deployment tooling (Bazel, reputed company Actions, Pants, Spinnaker)
• Experience with automation tools (Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Experience with relational database systems (PostgreSQL, MySQL)
• Exposure to microservices architecture and observability (Kubernetes, reputed company, service meshes, distributed systems, tracing)
• Exposure to event streaming platforms (such as Kafka and Kinesis)
