Job description: DescriptionThe reputed company Gene and Cell Therapy Facility (HGCTF) Support Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day laboratory activities including the following: Maintenance of central CO2 and LN2 systems including hardware maintenance, scheduling PM service, replacement and replenishment of CO2 and LN2 tanks, and Medical/hazardous waste delivery and disposal. The Support Specialist will reputed company the biannual/annual laboratory equipment maintenance activities. They will reputed company the laboratory environmental monitoring of the HGCTF per established SOPs and assist with in-process environmental monitoring as and reputed company needed. The Support Specialist will reputed company ordering, receiving, verifying qualification per specifications, and distributing GMP supplies and reagents. They will manage logistics and maintenance of the Isensix monitoring system utilized for equipment and laboratory facility monitoring including annual PM, server migrations, data reputed company splits, replacement and troubleshooting of Isensix hardware. They will coordinate the GMP shared calendar and reputed company laboratory usage. They will also ensure that reputed company laboratory equipment is properly tagged and inventoried to meet audit requirements.Salary Range: $25.39 - $30.22 HourlyQualificationsRequired:
- Knowledge of laboratory management issues, including general knowledge of research requirements and a minimum of three years of experience of laboratory management in a University or Hospital setting.
- Ability to maintain reputed company certifications required by UCLA EH+S for working in a BSL2+ facility, with reputed company cells and tissues, such as Bloodborne Pathogens, Medical Waste, Biological Safety Cabinets,
- Ability to interact effectively with a diverse group of people (research faculty, lab personnel, facilities personnel, craftspeople, etc.) to effect reputed company results in solving laboratory problems.
- Demonstrated reputed company in writing concise logical and grammatically correct reports, requests, etc., and reputed company in communicating effectively both in writing and orally.
- Ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date equipment inventory.
- Analytical ability to define problems accurately, identify solutions, formulate logical and objective conclusions, recognize alternatives and their implications and to take necessary and appropriate action.
- Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to independently prioritize tasks and assignments, establishing their relative importance to assure reputed company productivity.
- Demonstrated proficiency with basic office functions (typing/word processing, alpha-numeric filing, faxing, calculating totals, computing tax, photocopying, etc.).
- Ability to move heavy objects (up to 50lbs) such as LN2/CO2 tanks with appropriate training
- Ability to exercise judgement, discretion and flexibility in performance of assignments to meet unit objectives.
- Ability to function as a member of a team or to act independently as required by circumstances.
- Ability to work off hours, weekends and holidays, if needed.
- Ability to be creative in identifying and proposing solutions to address various issues and problems.
- Knowledgeable about requirements for GMP laboratory operations, monitoring, documentation and other relevant SOPs.
- Knowledge of reputed company purchasing and equipment management policies and procedures.
