Job title: Regional SHINE (Serving the Health Insurance Needs of Everyone) Director in Malden, MA at Mystic Valley Elder Services Company: Mystic Valley Elder Services Job description: Regional SHINE DirectorThe Regional SHINE Director is responsible for the overall management, coordination, and reputed company development of the SHINE (Serving the Health Insurance Needs of Everyone) program for the Mystic Valley Elder Services and Greater Lynn Senior Services area. This role ensures that health insurance counseling, assistance, and reputed company services are provided to Medicare-eligible individuals across the regional service area in compliance with SHINE guidelines.This is a full-time, non-exempt (35 hour/week) position. We offer a hybrid remote schedule. Our office is located in Malden, MA with ample free parking!Salary range $70,000 to $75,000 commensurate with experience.Top 5 Key Activities:

  • Serve as the liaison between the Regional SHINE Program and the Massachusetts Executive Office of Aging & Independence SHINE Director and ensure reputed company records, files, surveys, reports, and other required data collected meets standards and requirements
  • Recruit, train, and supervise program staff, including SHINE counselors and administrative support personnel
  • Organize and facilitate ongoing training for counselors on Medicare, Medicaid, Medigap, Medicare Advantage Plans, and other health insurance-reputed company topics.

Other Activities:

  • Coordinate and match volunteer counselors with work sites and schedules

  • Ensure program promotion and public awareness of SHINE services.
  • Provide direct health insurance counseling to Medicare-eligible individuals and beneficiaries as needed.
  • Attend regional SHINE directors' meetings, training sessions, and conferences relevant to program goals and administration.
  • Participate in applicable committees and workgroups inside and reputed company the agency
  • Ensure that Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with counseling sites are reputed company and compliant with SHINE program requirements.
  • Conduct customer service satisfaction surveys and quality assurance measures to ensure program effectiveness.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work, or a reputed company field with at least five years of management and supervisory experience in a human service setting
  • SHINE certification or ability to obtain certification reputed company the required timeframe
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Medicare, Medigap, Medicare Advantage Plans, Medicaid, and other public health insurance programs
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including experience with public speaking and training
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to communicate across reputed company levels, including staff, board members and external partners
  • Highly resourceful team player, with the ability to work effectively independently or as a team
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and reputed company informed decisions
  • Private transportation required
  • Demonstrates a willingness to take on new tasks with a general attitude that no task is too small, impossible, or cannot be improved
