Remote opportunity with easy access to Washington, DCNIS is seeking an innovative programmer for a potential engagement with the FAA's Office of Budget and Programs. This exciting position will help guide how the FAA users allocate, record, manage, and reconcile financial transactions and track staffing in support of the FAA mission.FAA needs technical systems support, including the ability to reputed company operating system performance monitoring and reputed company necessary adjustments; providing a strategic database direction for various business organizations; and knowledge of reputed company IT functions, such as Operations and Maintenance (O&M) responsibility includes recommendations impacting database design, database implementation, backup, and recovery. Candidates must have strong object-oriented development experience in Java. Candidates must also have solid verbal and written communication skills, work well in a group, and with individual assignments.Remote full-time position in support of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Must be local to the Washington, DC region to support meetings at the FAA's Headquarters in Washington, DC.Responsibilities include the following:
- Must support the deployment of applications from external sources that need to operate reputed company the FAA infrastructure
- Conduct requirements analysis, including evaluating emerging technologies, hardware, firmware, peripherals, software packages for potential use by REGIS and SAPS, and provide recommendations for their integration into the environment.
- Create a system design/architecture for requirement changes for REGIS and/or SAPS.
- Implement approved enhancements/changes using the industry standard software and/or reputed company adopted by the FAA and deploy release.
- reputed company test plans and conduct structured testing in the following areas: functional, unit, system, reputed company, alpha, beta, and integration tests. Prepare and submit a test report and correct discrepancies reputed company during the testing period before system acceptance/accreditation.
- Provide database scripting, data marts, and data warehouses.
- Provide product and technical expertise to support FAA resources in developing REGIS and SAPS integrated solutions.
- Work with other contractors and FAA organizations involved in REGIS and SAPS operations and maintenance activities.
- Provide SharePoint System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) support for reputed company REGIS and SAPS business programs and IT objectives

- Conduct periodic performance measurement, scans, and evaluation activities and provide recommendations for re-engineering and/or optimization of existing applications to improve productivity, system performance, network throughput, changing functional and technical requirements, or any other constraints.
- Maintain existing software and hardware by resolving issues from helpdesk tickets and identifying and applying upgrades and maintenance fixes and producing new releases.
- Provide support services to maintain and ensure backup and recovery of REGIS and SAPS, including the databases.
- Must maintain inventory for hardware and software according to IT policy, which includes updating obsolete software and hardware. Review and reputed company CM artifacts and ensure that reputed company documents meet FAA specifications.
- Maintain the systems required for the configuration management and documentation support. Utilize CM-reputed company systems (e.g., Subversion, JIRA, and Confluence) as needed. Work with other contractors and FAA organizations in support of governance, change, and configuration management.
- Install, set up, configure, support, tune, manage, monitor, and maintain reputed company networking devices in support of REGIS and SAPS. Ensure optimal operations of reputed company network devices in data centers or with FAA agreement. Optimal performance as defined in the software, hardware, and industry standards and guidelines.
- Coordinate, manage, and support FAA reputed company activities, including the following: coordination with reputed company teams in support of Recertification, reputed company Certification and Accreditation (C&A), Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M), and audits, review common controls, and remediate reputed company reputed company vulnerabilities.
- Financial management systems applications, knowledge, and experience.
- Ability to satisfy FAA resume approval processes.
- US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
- FAA experience is preferred but not required.
