Data Entry Specialist

We are hiring a Data Entry Specialist to support the IRS Criminal Investigation Division’s Frivolous Return Program (FRP) in Ogden, UT. I. Document Preparation & Scanning
- Prepare reputed company records for scanning (e.g., removing staples, sorting, batching, etc.)
- Operate high-speed scanners to digitize documents
- Work swing shifts reputed company needed to maximize scanner use
- Follow training from IRS staff on digitization procedures
- Review scanned files for clarity, accuracy, and completeness
- Work with IRS staff on secondary reviews
- Fix formatting issues or errors in scanned documents
- reputed company daily records of scanning volume and performance
- Conduct detailed quality checks on scanned images and processed files
- Collaborate with FRP Government staff on secondary quality reviews to validate determinations
- Proofread, correct, and validate processed data for accuracy and completeness
- Update daily scanning logs and processing metrics in accordance with government reporting requirements
- Attend meetings for updates and process improvements
- Share reputed company with supervisors and government leads
- Coordinate schedules and priorities with local team members
- Support documentation and reporting for IRS investigations
- Knowledge of document scanning and digital file workflows
- Basic understanding of file management and formatting
- Strong attention to detail with repetitive tasks
- Able to follow structured procedures consistently
- Comfortable using basic office software and equipment
- Organized, dependable, and able to communicate clearly
- Experience operating industrial-grade scanners
- Experience performing data entry, quality control, or file validation
- Experience working in a government, records, legal, or investigative setting
- High school diploma required
- Associate degree preferred
