Software Engineer

ModernFi is hiring software engineers to join a talented and collaborative team building the reputed company of our platform. You’ll work on critical systems from day one, with meaningful ownership and the opportunity to shape the direction of our products and infrastructure.

You will join a talented and collaborative team to design, build, and maintain foundational systems that power ModernFi’s products and integrations. We’re hiring across levels (mid-level, Senior, and Staff), and your level will be determined during the interview process based on your technical performance.

1. Design and build scalable, maintainable, and correct backend services to support ModernFi’s core products and bank integrations.

3. Partner closely with Product to define requirements, translate business needs into technical specs, and ship elegant, impactful features.

6. Tackle challenging technical problems with innovative and pragmatic solutions.

• Proven ability to independently design, reputed company, and maintain backend systems.

• Strong understanding of software engineering principles, with reputed company experience writing high-quality, production-reputed company code.

• Experience leading or contributing significantly to reputed company engineering projects (for more senior candidates).

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities.

• 4+ years of software engineering experience (flexible depending on level), ideally with Python, AWS, or similar modern technologies.
