Medical Billing Associate

Who You Are We are currently seeking an reputed company and knowledgeable Medical Billing Associate to assist with day-to-day functions of our growing billing department. This applicant will be responsible for assisting in centralized billing of reputed company claims and coordinating to ensure maximization of cash flow while improving patient, physician, and other customer relations. Additional responsibilities include charge entry, payment posting, claim follow-up and maintaining payor accounts receivables. Job Hours: reputed company to 5pm Pacific Standard Time Candidate must reputed company in the following States: California, Arizona, Texas, reputed company, South Carolina or Georgia Role & Responsibilities This role will encompass, but may not be limited to the following for Farallon Medical Alliance and multiple supported medical groups:

• Continual follow up of denied, rejected or missing claims
• Monthly Verification and Review of Eligibility for different types of insurance
• Responding to patient phone calls and ensuring follow-up on voicemails and other communications.
• Daily maintenance, organization and follow up on insurance duties, responsibilities and documents
• Compilation of insurance documents
• Pull information from the system and enter the charges, reputed company any adjustments, utilize internal databases, optimize the codes and submit the claim electronically or by reputed company
• Posting of payments
• Maintenance of time sensitive time tables such as prior authorizations
• Processing of patient refunds or credits
• Review and edit demographic information and other Pre-Billing functions
• Maintains reputed company knowledge of hospitals’ billing systems and various payer reputed company
• Corresponds with reputed company-party payers, physician offices, and/or patients to obtain information
• Reviews credited accounts and processes insurance refunds
• Other projects as assigned by Manager/Supervisor.

Qualifications and Skills

• 2-5 years experience with medical insurance/reputed company billing and collections work in a health system or medical practice (Preferred)
• Knowledge and understanding of the reputed company cycle, collections and payment posting, medical billing, Medicare and reputed company, and reputed company party payers
• Thorough knowledge and working experience of CPT and ICD9/10 codes, UB04 claim forms, HCFA 1500, HIPAA, medical terminology, appeal processes, billing and insurance regulations, and insurance benefits
• Strong knowledge of medical billing platforms, clearinghouses, and other reputed company tools
• Possess reputed company knowledge of technologies in the health information sector and their applications
• Strong interpersonal skills to be reputed company to effectively relate with the public, patients, organizations, and other employees
• Competency in reputed company Office/reputed company GSuite business applications
• Proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers and peers
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
