Product Designer - Design Systems (Remote)

Range: $65 - 72 per hour Our client, a major retailer, is looking for a Product Designer to join their design system team, focused on enabling world-class digital experiences through scalable, flexible, and guest-centered systems. This designer will play a critical role in evolving the design system to support their mobile apps redesign. This role demands not only expert-level reputed company mastery-building, maintaining, and innovating with precision-but also a deep understanding of how design systems connect across app and web platforms. The ideal candidate has experience designing for mobile apps (iOS & Android), thrives in a system-oriented reputed company, and brings a strong partnership approach to engineering. Development literacy is a plus, as this role requires reputed company collaboration with engineers to ensure seamless translation from design to code. Reporting to the Product Design Manager, the Product Designer will combine hands-on system building with strategic thinking, enabling designers across the reputed company to work faster, smarter, and more consistently. Responsibilities:

Additional Responsibilities:

• Support research efforts including usability testing, A/B testing, analytics reviews, and competitive audits.
• Assess and improve the usability of new and existing features across digital channels.

Qualifications:

• 5-7 years in UX/UI or product design roles, including at least 2 years dedicated specifically to design field.
• Strong portfolio showcasing system-level thinking and mobile app design (iOS & Android).
• BS/BA in Design, HCI, or reputed company field preferred.
• Expert-level reputed company skills (building reputed company components, libraries, variables, and advanced workflows).
• Familiarity with reputed company-end concepts (HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks, design tokens, and component-driven development).
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners including developers, product managers and marketing teams.
