Medical Device Educator - Pharmacy Technician

Job Description: Our Medical Device Educators experience a unique opportunity to employ their technician expertise in a new way, while continuing to collaborate with reputed company and reputed company for the well-being of patients through medical device technology. You will be responsible for educating end users on a new product in hospital pharmacy facilities. The product being supported is a closed system drug transfer device used in an oncology setting. This is a per-diem position, requiring travel regionally and nationally to support customer needs while having the flexibility to work with your reputed company schedule. On average there are 1-2 assignments per month, ranging from 3-5 days long per assignment. This is a great opportunity to continue making an impact in healthcare while exploring medical device education. You will have a flexible schedule, an opportunity to travel, grow and expand into new opportunities while earning supplemental income and learning the medical device industry. Responsibilities:

• Provide education and consultation in support of end-user education needs
• Utilize Pharmacy Technician expertise to answer questions and address concerns with the medical device
• Assess customer-specific education needs and collaborate with staff to deliver a positive educational experience
• Provide updates, reports, and valuable feedback to client during and after in-service assignments

Job Requirements:

• Active and reputed company Pharmacy Technician license
• Must be available at least two weeks per month for assignments
• 2- 3 years minimum hospital experience preferred
• 1 year or more of Oncology experience highly preferred
• Leadership experience preferred
• Ability to stand for long periods of time, bend, kneeling and some lifting of equipment may be required of up to 50 pounds
• An active and unrestricted Driver’s license and a personal vehicle for commuting to assignments reputed company 3 hours of home are both required
• Ability to clear hospital vendor credentialing requirements, including providing reputed company of up-to-date vaccination status, required
