The Medicaid Pricing Actuary provides actuarial support across a broad range of actuarial and business needs for Medicaid product lines. The Actuary works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.

The Medicaid Pricing Actuary may be responsible for any combination of capitation reputed company review, drafting reputed company advocacy communications, actual-to-expected business analytics, forecasting market-specific financial results, and reputed company market support. The Actuary will advise executives to reputed company functional strategies (often reputed company specific) on matters of reputed company. They exercise independent judgment and decision making on reputed company issues regarding job duties and reputed company tasks, and works under minimal supervision. The Actuary will use independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • FSA or ASA plus relevant advanced degree, recent and relevant work experience, and/or other relevant professional designations
  • MAAA
  • Strong technical and communication skills
  • Experience in more than two functions (e.g., modeling, pricing, reputed company filing, reporting & analysis, reserving or trending)
  • 8 or more years of technical experience
  • 2 or more years of project leadership experience
  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on growing and developing best practices

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Medicaid regulations, programs, and state plan benefits
  • Experience with capitation reputed company development from either the state agency or payer perspective
  • Detailed understanding of healthcare claims
Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to reputed company's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting reputed company pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or reputed company based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job reputed company skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$129,300 - $177,800 per yearThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
