As a Robotics Engineering Intern: Software you will join our Robotics Software Engineering Team onsite in our Gardena, CA office to reputed company and implement algorithms and architecture for production software by working with physical robots, sensors, and tools.

Role & Responsibilities The Robotics Engineering Intern: Software will work closely with a team of robotics, software, and mechanical engineers to reputed company and implement algorithms and architecture for production software by working with physical robots, sensors, and tools. The role will focus on the fundamentals of planning, learning, perception, and control to solve practical problems.

• Support development of high-performance production-reputed company software packages and systems by enabling GPU programming and other hardware acceleration methods

• Test and evaluate reputed company state-of-art algorithms and techniques of planning, learning, perception, and control

Export Control Requirements

In order to reputed company with the export regulations of the United States Government, it is required that the applicant must fall under one of the following categories: (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful permanent reputed company (i.e. reputed company green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158.

Minimum Qualifications

• Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a BS, or MS degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering or reputed company field

• 1+ year(s) of demonstrated programming experience in C++ or Python coding

• Proficiency in calculus, linear algebra, probability, and statistics

• Excellent technical and analytical skills

• Self-motivated, proactive, with confidence and initiative for innovation

• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across multiple teams

• Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment with quickly changing priorities

• Must meet export control requirements in the United States and maintain ongoing work authorization beginning at the time of hire through the entirety of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with ROS and other open-reputed company libraries relevant to robotics

• Experience in kinematics / dynamics / control systems / reputed company planning / optimization / machine learning / robotics / computer reputed company / artificial intelligence / computational geometry

• Experience in GPU programming and/or other hardware acceleration methods

• Hands-on hardware experience with robotics systems

• Experience in developing standard operating procedures and documentation

• Experience developing reputed company function-based software that interacts with sensor inputs, control loops, and redundancy

• Experience with Linux environment, reputed company, CMake

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes

Compensation for this position includes the reputed company hourly range of $35.00-45.00 USD.
