Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic Customer Service Coordinator to become the friendly face and reliable problem‑solver for our passengers and cargo clients in San Francisco. This full‑time role offers a competitive hourly rate of $25, an 8‑hour shift schedule, and the chance to work in a vibrant airport environment where no two days are alike. As a key member of the arenaxflex customer experience team, you will blend empathy, operational expertise, and a passion for aviation to ensure every interaction reflects arenaflex’s high standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell arenaflex air travel and cargo services to both leisure travelers and commercial freight forwarders.
  • Assist passengers with check‑in, ticketing, baggage handling, and special service requests, ensuring a seamless journey from curb to gate.
  • Interpret and apply domestic and international aviation regulations, customs requirements, and security protocols for passenger and cargo movements.
  • Coordinate flight schedules, monitor gate assignments, and communicate real‑time updates to crew and ground staff.
  • Provide compassionate support to distressed travelers, resolving issues such as missed connections, lost luggage, and flight disruptions.
  • Safeguard arenaflex assets and revenue by accurately processing transactions, handling cash, and adhering to fraud‑prevention procedures.
  • Utilize advanced reservation systems and communication tools (including air‑to‑ground messaging and Pinnacle) to manage traveler activity efficiently.
  • Respond swiftly to security incidents and emergency situations, following established protocols and collaborating with airport authorities.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work area; mentor junior staff and lead by example in delivering top‑tier service.
  • Perform occasional driving duties, including transporting passengers between terminals or to aircraft, in compliance with local regulations.

Essential Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (any discipline).
  • Minimum of 1‑2 years of experience in customer service, hospitality, or airline operations.
  • Proficient reading, writing, and speaking skills in English; bilingual abilities are a strong plus in multicultural environments.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to obtain any required airport security clearances.
  • Eligibility to pass FAA background checks and, if needed, obtain SIDA (Secure Identification Display Area) credentials.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime during peak travel periods.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision.

Preferred Skills & Competencies

  • Experience with airline reservation platforms (e.g., Sabre, Amadeus, or similar).
  • Strong problem‑solving mindset with the ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building rapport with diverse customers.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in data entry and documentation.
  • Team‑oriented attitude with a willingness to share knowledge and support colleagues.
  • Basic understanding of aviation safety standards and cargo handling procedures.
