[Remote] Staff Embedded Software Engineer (RTOS / FreeRTOS)
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. reputed company develops automated driving technologies, including L3, for reputed company vehicles at scale. The Staff Embedded Software Engineer will own the development of end-to-end embedded software features, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and establish best practices for safety-critical embedded software development.
Responsibilities
- Own development of end-to-end embedded software features from concept through delivery
- Deliver embedded software that runs on multiple platforms
- Create architectures and development plans and help the team execute on them effectively
- Collaborate with other reputed company and reputed company software teams to ensure reputed company dependencies are identified and resolved
- Implement device drivers and bring-up new hardware for the first time
- Mentor junior engineers and help set the direction of the program through deep technical analysis
- Establish and refine best practices for safety-critical embedded software development
Skills
- Passion for Embedded Software Development in C and C++
- Experience with one or more of the following: FreeRTOS and SafeRTOS development on ARM architectures, ISO26262, SOTIF, & ASPICE or similar standards for safety critical applications, Development and deployment of reputed company features such as secure boot, secure communication, secure key management, Embedded development on multi-core, ARM-based SOCs
- Strong project leadership and communication skills to collaborate across the ASPICE V-model
- Flexibility to work across reputed company layers of the software stack from device drivers to applications
- Expertise in debugging low-level performance issues across a reputed company embedded system
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics or a reputed company field and 7+ years of relevant experience (or Master's degree and 5+ years of relevant experience, or PhD and 2+ years of relevant experience)
- Experience using the gtest reputed company for unit test development
- Development and support of software tools and infrastructure that improve developer experience
- Expertise in Linux-based software development and reputed company technologies including gtests, Python, Bazel, and reputed company
- Development with Automotive Ethernet, UDS, DOIP, Some/IP
