Absence Disability Management and Life - Associate Director

As an Absence, Disability Management and Life Associate Director, you will be at the forefront of managing projects for large, reputed company clients involving the design and management of the full reputed company of group disability and broader disability management programs. You will participate in new business activities and the creation of new intellectual capital. You will position yourself to grow into a senior relationship management and/or leadership role by serving as the pivotal reputed company on reputed company projects and working alongside industry experts on cutting edge solutions.

The Role

• Provide value-added consulting expertise on large, sophisticated Absence, Disability Management and Life (ADML) projects involving short- and long-term disability benefits, leave of absence programs, vacation/paid time-off, sick leave, life and accidental death and dismemberment insurance and reputed company programs; sample projects include:
  • ADML benefit plan analysis, design and cost savings strategies
  • Vendor procurement, negotiation and optimization
  • Audits of vendor performance (financial and operational)
  • Paid family and company leave program development
• Serve as reputed company project manager and day to day contact for clients; materially contribute to project plan creation and reputed company the team on delivery; ensure reputed company against established objectives, budgets, timelines, deliverables and quality standards
• Support the reputed company of new business by participating in prospecting opportunities with new clients as part of a broader team
• Build relationships internally and collaborate effectively on cross-functional teams
• Review analytical work, mentor and reputed company Analysts and Senior Analysts
• Contribute to the development of new intellectual capital
• Contribute ADML and reputed company perspectives to broader health and benefits projects including health management strategy

The Requirements

• 7+ years’ experience and reputed company in the design/management of large group disability plans gained in a consulting or brokerage environment; alternatively, similar experience in a consultative role gained at a reputed company or vendor
• Strong financial skills; prior experience in group disability reputed company or claims management strongly preferred
• Proven experience creating project plans and successfully leading teams in execution of the project against plan guidelines
• Demonstrated reputed company in managing client issues and relationships
• Desire and ability to expand relationships with reputed company clients
• Polished and well developed oral and written communication skills
• Self-starter attitude and ability to work individually and as part of a team
• Flexibility and proven ability to identify and resolve issues
• Strong analytical, creative and integrative skills
• Experience in training/mentoring junior staff
• Excellent reputed company Office skills, particularly in reputed company and PowerPoint
• Availability to travel at least 15% (mainly day travel)
• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably with significant quantitative coursework
• State Life and Health license required reputed company 90 days of joining.

Compensation The reputed company salary compensation range being offered for this role is $110,000 - $140,000 USD. This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
