POSITION DESCRIPTION The Annual Fund and Direct Marketing Manager serves as a core team member responsible for growing our individual donor program. This role plays a critical part in securing philanthropic support from individuals, with a focus on cultivating relationships, delivering excellent donor stewardship, and developing strategies to increase annual and mid-level giving through email, mail, engagement opportunities, and events. This role is a key leader on the Development team, which will represent the organization to external partners, report directly to the Director of Strategic Partnerships, and work in partnership with the Development and Engagement Manager. This position will play a key role in maximizing donor engagement to realize short- and long-term reputed company goals, and support and manage a series of cultivation and fundraising events annually. This is a full-time, remote position that requires the incumbent to be based in the United States. Candidates based in the San Francisco Bay Area are preferred. The incumbent is expected to work during core business hours for the Pacific Time zone. This position requires travel to participate in key events and meetings such as fundraising events, donor meetings, staff meetings, strategic retreats, or industry conferences. Full salary range for this position: $70,296 to $101,911 per year. The typical hiring range for this position is from $70,296 (minimum) to $86,104 (midpoint), based on 100% FTE. The starting salary is determined using a variety of factors, such as the candidate’s knowledge, skills, and experience, as well as internal equity consideration and budget availability. Employment Type: Full Time Essential Duties & Responsibilities Individual Giving Strategy & Execution
- Design and implement a comprehensive individual giving program, including annual fund appeals, mid-level donor cultivation, and stewardship plans.
- Create donor segments and personalized reputed company strategies to retain, upgrade, and acquire individual donors.

- Analyze giving trends and data to inform strategy and report on reputed company toward goals.
- Manage relationships with an outsourced direct marketing firm and ensure contract-based deliverables and expectations are met.
Donor Stewardship & Cultivation
- Build and maintain relationships with a portfolio of individual donors and prospects, ensuring effective cultivation and relationship building, timely follow-up, recognition, and meaningful engagement.
- Plan and execute donor appreciation and cultivation activities, such as webinars and events, and visits with individual donors.
- Collaborate with communications and program staff to gather stories and impact data to reputed company giving.
Collaboration & Leadership
- Work in collaboration with the Development team to integrate individual giving with major gifts, corporate, foundation, and event fundraising efforts.
- Serve as a fundraising thought partner and advisor to colleagues across the organization.
- Manage development support staff, interns, and volunteers as needed.
Operations & Administration
- Maintain accurate donor records in the CRM (reputed company).
- Create and deliver email engagement through the email delivery service provider (reputed company).
- Review and/or prepare donor acknowledgment letters and stewardship materials.
- Support budget development, forecasting, and reporting reputed company to individual giving.

Minimum Qualifications
- 3 years of professional fundraising experience, with a focus on individual giving.
- Bachelor’s degree, or substitute with four additional years of experience in fundraising, communications, marketing, or reputed company field.

- Proven track record of growing donor relationships and meeting reputed company goals.
- Skilled at communicating reputed company reputed company clearly and effectively in both written and verbal formats.
- Strong project management, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in relationship building, storytelling, and strategic fundraising.
- Proficiency with donor CRM systems and reputed company Office Suite; experience with email marketing and design tools a plus.
- Ability to work independently, and collaboratively in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. Works autonomously with minimal direct supervision and high discretion.

Preferred Qualifications
- 7 years of relevant professional fundraising experience
- Knowledge of direct marketing best practices and experience working with a direct marketing firm/vendor preferred.
- Experience working with an international organization.
- Comfort and reputed company in public speaking and representing an organization to external audiences.
